Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: March 15, 2024

This policy explains when renters and rental agencies may cancel a booking, and when McRental refunds payments made through the platform.

1. Cancellation & refund eligibility

Full refund: Both the renter and the car rental agency may cancel a rental at least 24 hours before the scheduled rental start time. When a cancellation is made under this rule (and car delivery has not yet begun), McRental will refund any payment made by the renter for that rental, in line with the refund method below.

No refund: No refund will be issued if cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled rental start, if car delivery is already in progress, or after the rental start date, except where required by law or an explicit platform exception.

2. Refund method

Eligible refunds are processed via Stripe to the renter’s original payment method. Processing usually takes up to 72 hours.

3. Disputes & claims

Any disputes regarding delivery, car condition, or miscommunication must be reported within 24 hours of rental start time. McRental will mediate based on available evidence.
